This week is the American Library Association's National Banned Book Week. Sept 29-Oct 6.
Oh, how ironic that a dour and grim looking woman in Cumberland, Rhode Island is making it her life mission to ban my work from her daughter's high school during the ALA's Banned Book Week Celebration.
It's almost like that Alanis Morrisette song, except unlike "A black fly in your chardonnay" or "Rain on your wedding day," this really is irony.
So in celebration of irony and intellectual freedom, pick up your favorite banned author and give him or her a spin this week.
And remember the ALA's Banned Book Week tagline: FREE PEOPLE READ FREELY®
