I just read your essay in "When I Was a Loser," and imagine my surprise when I saw mentions of "Youree Drive," and "Captain Shreve." I lived in that area right across from LSUS during my middle school years in the early 90's, and was probably tortured by relatives of the same fools who tortured you in the 80's.
Anyway- loved the essay and look forward to reading your novels.
