The Bee Rapture

I good chunk of the American Honeybee population has just up and vanished. Like the rapture—no dead bodies left to be found. Just poof! No more worker bees. Which means no more pollination, which means not as much food, which means.....prices go up and....

Makes me wonder why Mama Earth has turned the bees off. Did we do something to piss her off?  Pesticides? Global Warming? Or is this just a natural cycle that happens and we're getting all Y2K about it?

I hope it's the later. I like bees and I really like a planet that offers up peanut butter honey nanner sammiches.
